Night had been running for the good part of an hour now. She refused to use her wings and fly off because that would make things worse under the account she would stand out too much. The streak haired girl needed to hide in plain sight but there wasn't any sight to hide in. Her legs were starting to go numb with a mix of ache; muscles contracting due to the overexertion from the long run she was forced to endure as the three Erasers chased her. How did I even end up in this mess... this time? Night wondered to herself as she tried to stay ahead while looking for a way to lose them. But how could she? Night was out numbered by some over active mutts not to mention no part of Yami was triggered to come out and make her want to fight so getting caught was not an option and neither was slowing down and defiantly not stopping. How had she gotten noticed this time?
She had left her apartment after getting a call for a job. "First thing in the morning? Why would anyone want to meet first thing in the morning?" She sighed to herself as she reached for the keys and helmet but stopped when she heard the birds just outside her balcony. "It does seem nice enough to fly. Maybe just this once, it's been awhile and it is too early for anyone to really be awake." Night said convincing herself to enjoy the natural pleasure she was born with. She let her leather jacket slide off her shoulders to the bend of her elbows as if it were oil sliding down her silken ivory skin. The streak haired girl set the jacket down onto the back of her sofa and walked to the large glass sliding door, opening it, letting the cool, crisp morning air brush against her flesh sending chills and goosebumps making her wings shift and shiver before stretching out behind her. She took a deep breath letting the cool air fill her lungs as she stepped toward the railing and sending her wings from up right down to her sides with great force raising her high in one flap. After getting comfortable with wind speed and height she just put her wings on cruise and glided through the air. The brilliant black and silver sheen of her feathers reflecting the dawn as she flew to the coffee shop that was picked for the meeting.
She landed in the alley just behind the coffee shop and casually headed into the front door, ordering her usual green tea latte. "Mmm," She hummed to herself as she sat to enjoy her drink outside at one of the small tables. Night was early as she usually was. If you're not early then you're late. Night remembered what her mother used to tell her father when he would get ready to leave in the morning. Besides the sooner you leave the sooner you come back. She smiled, hearing her mother's voice as an image of her parents kissed and parted popped in her head. "Is it that good?" A voice asked, pulling her out of her daze. Night looked up to see a three boys and the one that seemed to have spoke was grinning, flashing a fang as he did. It didn't take her a couple seconds to run out of her seat and head for some sort of cover.
Her breathing was frantic and like a fool she looked back which slowed her down for a split second. A split second too much... Was the only thought as she saw a blur of fuzz head toward her calf and she felt the fang dig into her leg making her falter and drop to the ground. She rolled onto her back and kicked off the wolf, then forcing herself to get up and move but it was too late the other two Erasers took a triangular position from the wolf and Night blocking her path. The more arrogant of the two other Erasers shifted back revealing a strong man proud to be what he was. His short stride to Night and firm grasp around her neck as he looked her in the silver eyes smirking as he lifted her from the ground. "Why not fly, bird?" He spewed cruelly, mockingly. "Here I'll help you get a good start." He said as his arm and body turned hard, as if trying to fight gravity he threw Night by the neck like a dart toward the direction of the skate park. She still couldn't breath as she flew without her wings out. It wasn't until her body started to turn and her back slammed against a hard wooden ramp and slid down it. Her leg bloodied choking and gasping for breath even harder now that whatever she did have left in her lungs was forced out on impact.
