Everywhere Sable looked, she saw people. Humans who stared at her, as if she were a beast locked inside its cage at a zoo. Taking strands of her hair, she paused, halting her walk, and twirled her hair. 'So what if I was born with pink hair and eyes?' the hybrid thought, starting to doubt her image, 'and so what if I wear a school uniform? Its not against the law for me to want to feel a little bit normal...' Sable shifted her weight nervously, from the left to right foot, then someone ran into her. "S-sorry!" she apologized, dipping her head slightly from embarrassment. 'Sheesh... If my men saw me right now, I would be forever humiliated...' Sable scolded herself inwardly, then groaned. "Why can't I be like a normal Eraser?" She grumbled, continuing her walk to the park.
Once her feet were on the grass, Sable breathed out a sigh of relief. She had never liked the concrete jungle of New York, to many humans and to little nature, but here, at the Park, there was actual grass and trees and water. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes, feeling completely at home with the weight of her guitar on her back, the smell of grass and trees around her, and the sound of birds and squirrels going through their daily business. Sighing, she actually felt at peace with herself. Opening her eyes, Sable began to walk to her usual spot, calmly and with purpose. Then, after a few minutes, she reached her place. It was a fountain, right in the middle of the green, lush park, simple and elegant, the water pouring from it sparkles beautifully in the sunlight. Sitting down on the white, smooth edge of the fountain, Sable pulls off of her guitar case from her back and opens it in-front of her, pulling the classic guitar in a single, fluid, smooth motion. Quickly, she scanned the area, seeing only a few people around, who were minding their own business. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes, raised her hand and pick, then struck the cords.

Ending the lyrics to the song, Sable's melodic, soul splitting voice softened to an end. Now, with all her attention on her fingers, she gently stroked the cords with her pick, at one with the music. After the utterly heart-shattering solo was done with, she strummed one last time, barely touching the guitar cords. The music faded into nothing.
After a few moments, Sable blinked, finally registering the outside world. There were people surrounding her, a large group, and they were shouting for encores and applauding like crazy. Smiling widely, the hybrid was never so praised before. It felt extraordinarily good. But as soon as it started, it ended. A few people walked up to her and dropped money in her open guitar case, but most just walked away, whispering about how wonderfully she preformed, but critisizing the way she looked. Sable's heart dropped once more. "Humans are all the same..." She murmured under her breath, eyes darkening. The shadows twitched under her gaze restlessly.
